NOTE: TThese devotionals will mainly be verses and questions. My goal is to ensure that my children understand the meaning of the verse and it how it relates to the true celebration of Christmas. I will listen to their response and lead our discussion based on their thoughts and questions. My responses will depend on their level of understanding of the verse we are discussing. We will then hang the ornament depicted each day on our Heart of Christmas tree.

- Because of God’s love for us, He sent His one and only Son to earth. Why did God send Jesus to earth?
- Why do we celebrate Christmas?
- Why is the birth of Jesus so important?
- Why do we so easily forget the real meaning of Christmas?
of Jesus. My mom taught this passage to me in the KJV (which I find quite beautiful) and now my children to memorize. First, let’s talk about the whole passage and discuss what happened.
Eva – “And the angel said unto them, ‘Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.’” (Luke 2:10)
(As an almost-six-year-old who is still new to the English Language, Eva will work more slowly through the passage. Anthony and Grace love memorizing scripture and are always up for a challenge so we’ll see how quickly they can progress through the passage.)
Blessings this Christmas Season,
